After being closely linked with a move to United for most of the January transfer window, Dorgu finally completed his transfer to Old Trafford last week as the Red Devils agreed to pay £25m ($31m/€30m) plus £4m ($5m/€4.8m) transfer for the 20-year-old Danish defender.

Denmark boss Reimer was delighted to see the youngster completing a dream move to the Red Devils. He also warned the player of the pressure and expectations that he would have to deal with after donning the shirt of a club of United's stature. The manager was also happy that Dorgu will be able to link up with fellow Danish talent Rasmus Hojlund.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID

Speaking to , Riemer said: "It is a huge endorsement of Danish talent development that two of our greatest talents, Rasmus Højlund and Patrick Dorgu, are part of perhaps the world’s greatest club. Patrick must know that when he goes from Lecce to Manchester United, the expectations and pressure are completely different.

"He has also had a lot of considerations about that with his supporters. If he succeeds, the gain is also greater, because then he is on the biggest blade. He has every opportunity to take a huge step forward in his career, but it is up to him to seize the chance."
