Mathys Tel completed a dramatic transfer deadline-day loan move to Tottenham Hotspur in the January window after he initially rejected their permanent transfer offer. The deal between Bayern and the Spurs, however, had a purchase option set at €55million (£45.7m; $56.9m).

reports that Tel could be on his way back to Munich in the summer as the Bavarian club are considering calling back all the players who are out on loan ahead of the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup in the US. Tel's current contract with the North London club expires on June 30, but FIFA has opened up a new transfer window between June 1 and June 10, when Bayern can terminate their existing agreement with the English team and bring back the Frenchman.
