South Australian Cricket Association14-Nov-2002The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) has congratulated DarrenLehmann who today plays his 100th first class game for South Australia.In addition, in today’s game against NSW at the SCG, Lehmann hassurpassed 11,000 runs in Pura Cup/Sheffield Shield competition.State Player of the Year in 2001, for the third successive year, Lehmannalso has today surpassed 9,000 runs for South Australia in PuraCup/Sheffield Shield competition.Lehmann is the leading all time run scorer in Pura Cup/Sheffield Shieldgames, after surpassing the previous record, held by Jamie Siddons,during the SA v Vic game at the MCG in December 2001.The SACA’s chief executive, Mike Deare, said today marks anothersignificant milestone in Lehmann’s highly decorated career.”Darren is a talented cricketer, who shows outstanding leadership to histeam-mates. Today’s achievements add to the many highlights during hisvery distinguished career,” said Mr Deare.
