Onana has been blamed for yet another calamitous goal while on international duty with Cameroon. The stopper was unable to prevent Dailon Livramento from scoring the winner for Cape Verde after bizarrely neglecting to come out and close down the striker as Cameroon slumped to a shock defeat. Footage after the match showed Onana full of frustration and angrily clashing with a fan trying to get a selfie with the Manchester United goalkeeper. The supporter then appeared to throw a water bottle in his direction.

Onana has become known for his costly mistakes since signing for Manchester United. His regular errors, and those of back-up Altay Bayindir, have now seen the Red Devils bring in Senne Lammens from Royal Anterwerp in an attempt to bolster their goalkeeping department. His arrival is expected to see Onana join Turkish side Trabzonspor on a season-long loan.

Manchester United are still waiting for Onana to approve a loan to Trabzonspor before the transfer is officially confirmed. Ruben Amorim's side are currently preparing to take on Manchester City next in the Premier League, and all eyes will be on United's teamsheet for the game to see if Bayindir continues between the sticks or is replaced by new signing Lammens.
