Wolves fans hail Sa after Portugal call-up

A number of Wolves supporters have been showing their appreciation for goalkeeper Jose Sa after he was called up to Portugal’s squad for their upcoming matches.

The club’s impressive run of form in the Premier League came to an end on Saturday, with Crystal Palace beating Bruno Lage’s men 2-0 at Selhurst Park, but it has still been a positive start to the campaign overall by Wolves, who sit eighth in the table with 11 matches played.

There have been a number of strong performers so far this season and Sa is undoubtedly one of them, shining between the sticks after joining from Olympiakos in the summer, with a respectable goal concession tally of 12 from 11 appearances.

On Monday, the 28-year-old was named in Portugal’s senior squad for their World Cup qualifiers against the Republic of Ireland and Serbia, as noted by Wolves’ official Twitter channel, along with club-mates Nelson Semedo, Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves.
